College for Me

I’ve never worked so hard to maintain friendships in my life. I’m not talking about the ones in Minnesota either, I’m talking about the relationships I have with my new friends here. The best way I can describe it is that we are a family. Here on the 29th floor everyone knows everything; we confront each other on what ever the issues may be; and we work together to problem solve if one of us needs some help. On top of all that we just need each other too. Problems don’t even last more than a day or even a few hours before someone tries to fix it. It’s emotionally exhausting, irritating, and frustrating. There’s always drama because someone is bound to be upset about something, but I’ve realized now that it doesn’t matter how awful it can get. I can’t imagine not being surrounded by all these amazing people. Kat, Kenzie, Camille, Casadi, Kayla, Cody, Bryce, Zech, George, Bryce, Adam, and Dom even. They each play a part in my life and they’re my neighbors! I live with them! I can never get away and it’s sublimely great! I’ve realized that everyone here goes through thick and thin and whether we like it or not we all just have to be around to pick up after each other when it’s over. This is communication, and it’s how we make up the strong family we are.
